Building a business from scratch, let me tell you, it’s one heck of a ride. Way tougher than I ever daydreamed. You see, I’m a bit of a dreamer. I can turn any idea into a magical adventure. But here’s the kicker—I often forget one important thing: I’m not a robot; I’m a real, messy human being.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love my brain. It’s the reason I can conjure up big dreams and create new realities. But there’s a duality to it. On one hand, I’ve got this logical, problem-solving brain that likes to keep things in check. On the other, there’s the chaos, where my anxiety, depression, and wild ideas live. But it’s also where my creativity and connection to something bigger, something divine, reside. So, my brain’s often having this tug-of-war between these two worlds.
On my best days, I’ve got this beautiful balance, where both sides play nice, and I’m on fire. Goals get crushed, tasks get done, and I feel like a productivity superhero. But then come the days when one side’s like, “I’m taking over!” That’s when life serves up its share of roller coaster ups and downs.
The current puzzle my brain is debating is how to juggle the digital world with real life and how to show up authentically in both. Man, it’s like trying to understand a whirlwind!
In this digital maze, you can find a gazillion videos and articles of people selling their courses and businesses claiming to solve your problems. “Three steps to stop overthinking,” “The ultimate time management hacks,” “How I built a billion-dollar business in three hours a week from my phone.”
But here’s the kicker: Is any of it for real?
Frankly, I think about 90% of it is bull shit, built for profit and views.
Someone, somewhere, worked their tail off, and now they’re trying to sell us a shortcut while leaving out the crazy hours they put in. Sneaky, huh?
I do not want to be that person.
Building a business in the real world means dreaming up what it takes to make it work and then doing the work, all while sharing truth online, without inflating and being self important, real.
In this social media age, it’s easy to be a passive observer, scrolling through picture-perfect lives. But for me, authenticity means showing not only the polished end product but also the messy, real-life struggles behind the scenes, hence this article as the first share! (I’ve re-written this 6 times)
In my reality, I crave to be understood because I’m constantly battling to understand the world around me and the people in it.
Maybe you’ve figured this all out and don’t give a hoot, or maybe you’re right here with me, battling the self-doubt, anxiety, and the rollercoaster of entrepreneurship.
Know this—behind this social media page is a real person, just like you. Someone who faces the same doubts and fears, someone who’s out there testing boundaries, sometimes with raw emotions, other times with a polished front.
So, here’s what I’m wondering—am I alone in this? Has anyone else walked this crazy path and come out the other side? If you’ve got some wisdom to share, please, lend a hand to a fellow traveler on this wild journey.
And to all you warriors in the trenches, sifting through “influencer” hype about how easy it all is, remember—you’re not alone. Together, we’re gonna create something truly extraordinary.
